Ofsted and Performance Data
I am delighted to enclose a copy of the final OFSTED report for the school, following an inspection on Tuesday 25th June 2024. As the report states, this was a one day inspection, carried out by two inspectors, to ensure the school remains ‘good’.
I am extremely pleased to say that both OFSTED inspectors spoke very highly of the education and care we have strived to develop and achieve for all children; this is evident in the report which states that had the inspection been a graded inspection, the school demonstrated that the school may have been graded as outstanding.
This is amazing news, and demonstrates the hard work and effort that all the staff, leaders and governors put into the school on a daily basis; your children receive an excellent education with us and we are proud of the features that make us stand out from other schools and providers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the children, who continued on their learning, as the inspectors walked around and explored what a day for each child looks like at Hart Hill. The children’s ability, despite their age or stage of development, shone through in every activity or observation. There were so many compliments and positive discussions, around their independence, resilience, ability to sign and communicate using methods familiar to each indiviudal, and their natural love and interest for all they were doing.
I would also like to take this moment to thank all of the staff; OFSTED is a scary experience, with no one wanting to let the side down. The natural anxiety staff felt with the possibility of unknown questions or layout of the day was evident, however, everyone just shone. Every staff member who spoke to the inspectors knew the children, what they needed and how, or why they were supporting them in the way they were. This demonstrates everyone’s love of their job, and the children that attend here.
Due to the fact that both inspectors were so impressed with the school, we will have been told that OFSTED will return in 18 months to 2 years to complete a full graded inspection, where hopefully they will be able to change our grade to outstanding. For the time being, it is business as usual, working on our strengths and continuing to adapt and develop what we do so well, so every child succeeds and enjoys their time with us; it is highly important to me that every child has the right foundations with us, to succeed, both in the next steps in their education, but also in life.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support to our school; I hope you enjoy reading the report as much as I did.

School's Performance Data
At Hart Hill Nursery School, we review the children's outcomes in depth. This helps us to make sure that our curriculum is accurate and that any child who is not on track is supported to close the gap in their learning.
All information regarding assessment is shared with our Governing Body each term; this includes an analysis of what we have found out and what we are going to do, or have been doing to help chldren to improve.
