3-4 year old Provision
Children join our 3–4-year-old classroom in September before they are due to attend Primary School.
The classroom is displayed and carefully planned to support:
- Developing independence in themselves with simple tasks
- Building attention, as the year progresses, so that they can sit with their peers and attend an adult-led session in phonics or mathematics
- Make choices with the resources available to extend their play, including beginning to think about why they choose a particular resource for a purpose or plan
- Have opportunities to share resources with their peers and overcome conflicts or disagreements that may take place
- Highlight interests and imagination in their play, through carefully planned enhancements and foci
Our Classroom
Session Times
Children who are in the 'Nursery Class' are able to attend with free entitlement from the government, the term after they turn 3. For this academic year, that is any child who was born between 01.09.2021-31.08.2022.
When joining our school, you can choose from the following times:
- Monday - Friday 08:45-11:45am
- Monday - Friday 12:45-15:45pm
- Monday and Tuesday 9:00am-3:00pm, and Wednesday 8:45-11:45am
- Wednesday 12:45-3:45pm, and, Thursday and Friday 9:00am-3:00pm
If you are working, your child may be entitled to additional hours, under the Working Parent criteria. If you are entitled, you can choose from the following times:
- Monday - Friday 09:00am-3:00pm
- Monday - Thursday 8:45am-3:45pm, and, Friday 8:45-11:45am
