Parents and Carers will need to meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for 30 hours free child care:

  • The parent should be seeking the 30 hours free child care to allow them to work
  • When one or both parents are on maternity, paternity, shared parental or adoption leave or if they are on statutory sick pay
  • Where one parent meet the income criteria and the other is unable to work because they are disabled, have caring responsibilities or have been assessed as having limited capacity to work
  • Where a parent is in a start up period (starting as self employed) they do not need to demonstrate that they meet the income criteria for 12 months

Parents and Carers who do not qualify:

  • If either parent has an income of more than £100,000

At Hart Hill Nursery School we offer the opportunity to have 30 hours free child care, with the following criteria to support any application:

  • Children have siblings at the school currently accessing 30 hours free child care
  • Children are currently in the nursery provision and parents become eligible
  • Children are new to the setting

Children with special educational needs will be discussed on an individual basis and the decision will be made, putting the child’s best interest at the heart of the decision.

Additional Childcare – available from 8:00pm-5:00pm

If you require childcare for longer than 15 or 30 hours, you can purchase additional hours outside of the funded education time. This is charged at £5:00 per hour and needs to be booked in advance by speaking to Tara or Sonali in the main office. The school can provide your child with breakfast at an additional cost of 50p per day and can also offer tea at an additional cost of £1 per day.
