Working in Partnership
At Hart Hill Nursery School and Children' Centre we want you to know what you can expect from us. In return, we hope that you will also have regard to the statements below. By doing this we aim to make our Centre a welcoming place for children and families where everyone feels valued and respected.
We will:
- Treat parents and visitors with respect and courtesy.
- Always make time for you if you need to come and talk.
- Make the whole site safe and secure for your child.
- Respect your family's confidentiality.
- Encourage your child to be a happy, independent and motivated learner.
This is how we treat children:
- We talk to them, not about them.
- We treat them with respect and dignity.
- We listen to what they have to say.
- We give them time.
- We stay calm with them even when they are not calm themselves.
- We allow them to make choices and decisions for themselves.
- We let them know what is going to happen.
- We help them to stay safe and understand their boundaries.
- We build their confidence and self esteem.
- We never refer to them as "kids".
Please help us by:
- Treating staff with courtesy and respect.
- Valuing the service we provide for your children and your family.
- Working in partnership with us to enhance your child's experiences here.
- Coming to see us about any concerns you have.
- Informing us of changes of address and phone numbers immediately.
Help us to keep the site safe and secure by:
- Closing all doors and gates behind you.
- Parking away from the building and walking in.
- Informing staff if you notice anything that presents a hazard.
