We offer many services for families from the locality. They are usually available in the Family Room organized by the Family Worker and assistant. Please click on the links to the left to find out about the sessions listed there.
In addition we now hold the following sessions:
- Developmental checks managed by Health Visitors twice a month. Please book an appointment through the Health Visitors at Wigmore Clinic.
- Fortnightly meetings for Foster Carers and their children.
- Monthly visits from Job Centre Plus. Please make an appointment with them or drop in between 3.00 - 4.00pm, check with us which dates they are in.
- A speech therapist every Friday, appointments only through the health service.
- Toddler group every Thursday from 9.00 - 11.15am and 12.30 - 2.45pm. £1.00, just come along with your baby or toddler! Children stop attending Toddlers once they start in the Nursery School. Telephone us if you want further information.
- Baby Groups every Friday morning for babies 0 - 9 months and 9 - 18 months . Please call for further information.
Other sessions are available at different times for example Healthy Cooking for Families, a Dad's group, occasional coffee mornings. We want to be reactive to local needs so if you have a good idea please let us know! If you feel there is a need for a children?s first aid course, a teenage parents group, a counseling session, just let us know and we will do our best to provide one.

Our Family Worker, Lianne Young, is currently on maternity leave and Toni Toombs has taken over the Family Room. Our Children's Centre admin support starts work in summer 2010.
